Wix.com Ltd. is an Israeli software company listed on Nasdaq (WIX) and led by co-founder and CEO Avishai Abrahami, with Lior Shemesh as CFO. It reported $1.99 billion in fiscal 2025 revenue and had 4,371 employees at the end of June 2026, after a restructuring that cut about 20% of staff. Wix runs a freemium model. Anyone can build a site for free, and Wix earns money when users upgrade to premium plans for custom domains, ad removal, more storage, eCommerce and professional tools. It reports two segments. Creative Subscriptions (premium plans, Wix Studio seats, domains bundled with plans and Base44 subscriptions) brought in $398.4 million in Q2 2026 at an 80% GAAP gross margin. Business Solutions ($164.7 million in Q2 2026, 32% GAAP gross margin) covers transaction revenue from Wix Payments, Wix POS, shipping and gift cards, plus Google Workspace resale and third-party apps. Wix also tracks Partners revenue, earned through agencies, freelancers and resellers such as LegalZoom and Vistaprint, which reached $213.8 million in Q2 2026.

Wix's 2026 has been difficult. In late May it announced a cut of roughly 20% of its workforce, about 1,000 jobs, pointing to a stronger Israeli shekel and to AI changing how the company works. In June it lowered its 2026 outlook, reducing expected revenue by about $25 million and bookings by about $50 million, mainly because of weakness in its Partners business. The shares fell to their lowest level since 2017. Wix is also spending heavily on AI inference and marketing for Base44, which cut free cash flow margins well below the roughly 30% it reported in 2025.
