Editorial Policy
CorpDigest is a small independent research site. This policy explains how pages are sourced, reviewed, corrected, and limited by the public data available.
Data Sourcing & Verification
We prioritize primary public sources for financial and strategic data. The site primarily relies on:
- SEC Filings: 10-K (Annual), 10-Q (Quarterly), and 8-K (Current Event) reports from the EDGAR database.
- Global Disclosures: Annual reports and financial statements for international companies (e.g., UK Companies House, EU Business Registers).
- Earnings Calls: Verbatim transcripts from quarterly earnings presentations to capture management sentiment and strategic guidance.
- Corporate Press Releases: Official announcements regarding acquisitions, partnerships, and leadership changes.
Secondary sources, such as major financial news outlets (Bloomberg, Reuters, The Wall Street Journal), are used only to provide additional context or to track ongoing developments not yet reflected in official filings.
Update Frequency
Corporate strategy and financial health change quickly, so pages are reviewed periodically and after major public disclosures when those changes affect the profile.
Financial Updates
Revenue, income, and leadership data are updated when reliable filings or company disclosures are available.
Narrative Reviews
Narrative sections, SWOT analyses, and comparison pages are revised when the source record shows a meaningful business change.
Correction Policy
Errors can occur, especially when companies restate figures, change reporting segments, or disclose new information. If we discover a material error in our data or analysis, we will:
- Verify the report: Check the error against the best available public source.
- Correct the page: Update the live profile as soon as practical after verification.
- Add a disclosure: If the error was significant, we will add an "Editorial Update" note at the top of the profile explaining the change.
If you believe you have found an error, please reach out to us via our Contact Page.
Independence & Neutrality
CorpDigest does not accept payments for specific company coverage. Our analysis remains neutral and objective. We do not provide investment advice, buy/sell recommendations, or price targets. Our goal is strictly to document the history and architecture of business.
