Rubrik operates a high-margin, pure-play Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) subscription business model with outstanding revenue visibility and customer lifetime value: (1) Rubrik Security Cloud (RSC) Subscriptions (~91% of subscription ARR), billed annually in advance on a subscription capacity or per-user basis to protect cloud, virtualized, and database workloads across AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, and on-premises data centers; (2) Cloud-Native and SaaS Data Protection (~9% of ARR), monetizing per-user security and automated compliance for Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Salesforce, and Atlassian Jira; and (3) Rubrik Data Security Posture Management (DSPM) and Cyber Recovery Guarantee, which monetizes sensitive data classification (PII, PCI, HIPAA) and provides up to $10 million in ransomware recovery assurance. Rubrik maintains a subscription gross margin of 77% and an exceptional net retention rate exceeding 120%.
