Arvind Nithrakashyap

Arvind Nithrakashyap is Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer of Rubrik, directing the company's global engineering organization, core architecture, and long-term technological vision. Nithrakashyap graduated with an engineering degree from the Indian Institute of Technology Madras and earned his Master of Science in Computer Science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Before co-founding Rubrik in 2014, he spent more than twelve years at Oracle Corporation, where he served as Principal Engineer and played a seminal role as a co-founding architect of Oracle Exadata—Oracle's flagship engineered database system. At Rubrik, Nithrakashyap co-architected the Atlas distributed file system, establishing Rubrik's proprietary immutable storage fabric and ensuring that backup copies cannot be modified, encrypted, or deleted by ransomware.
