Company History
Founded 2014 in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India
In 2014, Kabeer Biswas, an engineer from the University of Mumbai and plastic surgeon's son who previously worked at Airtel, was living in Bengaluru and feeling overwhelmed by daily chores. He started a simple WhatsApp group called 'Dunzo' with his phone number, offering to run any errand for anyone in Bengaluru for a small fee—from picking up dry cleaning to buying groceries. Biswas personally rode his motorcycle across Bengaluru delivering packages. As demand surged to thousands of requests a day, Biswas teamed up with co-founders Ankur Aggarwal, Dalvir Suri, and Mukund Jha to build an AI-powered automated dispatch app. In 2017, Dunzo made history as **Google's first direct startup investment in India**, transforming into a national tech icon.
