Background
Kabeer Biswas possesses a highly dynamic, intensely operational background in Indian telecommunications and early consumer tech. Having earned an MBA from NMIMS, his highly rigorous background managing complex operations at Bharti Airtel and scaling his first startup (Hoppr) provided the exact operational blueprint required to navigate the incredibly chaotic, high-burn logistics of the Indian quick-commerce market.
Founding Story
Kabeer Biswas is an incredibly tenacious Indian entrepreneur and the co-founder and former CEO of the massive hyperlocal delivery startup Dunzo. Following a highly successful exit from his previous local discovery startup, Hoppr (acquired by Hike Messenger in 2014), Biswas moved to Bengaluru and found himself intensely frustrated by daily chores. He initially launched Dunzo as a simple WhatsApp group, personally running errands across the city. Quickly realizing the massive demand for quick commerce, he partnered with Mukund Jha to build an automated, app-based platform. Under Biswas's aggressive leadership, Dunzo became the first Indian startup to secure direct investment from Google, completely pioneering the quick-commerce delivery sector in India before facing massive financial headwinds in 2024.
