Nick Ogden is the visionary founder of the internet payment gateway Worldpay. In 1997 in Jersey, Ogden recognized that the expansion of the World Wide Web was paralyzed by the lack of secure electronic credit card clearance. Ogden engineered the world's first multi-currency online payment gateway, establishing the technology infrastructure that allowed international consumers to buy goods online before selling the enterprise to Royal Bank of Scotland in 2002.
