JioMart is the online storefront of India's largest retailer. Reliance Retail Ventures, about 83% owned by Reliance Industries with minority investors including Qatar Investment Authority, KKR, Silver Lake, GIC and Saudi Arabia's PIF, runs it alongside Smart Bazaar, Reliance Digital, Trends and AJIO. JioMart started as a grocery ordering service, added general merchandise, and since 2024 has been rebuilt around hyperlocal delivery from stores. In 2026 Isha Ambani described it at the AGM as one of India's largest quick-commerce networks. The company is headquartered in Navi Mumbai, India.
JioMart makes money mainly as a first-party retailer: it buys groceries, staples, FMCG goods, electronics and fashion through Reliance Retail's supply chain and earns the retail margin when it sells them online. Orders are picked from nearby Reliance stores (Smart Bazaar, Smart Point, Reliance Digital, Trends) rather than from stand-alone warehouses, which lets the company reuse inventory and rent it already pays for. Additional income comes from third-party marketplace sellers (whose active base grew 26% year-on-year in Q1 FY27), brand advertising, delivery and handling fees, and Reliance's own consumer brands such as Campa, Independence and Good Life. A separate B2B channel, JioMart Partner, supplies neighbourhood kirana stores at wholesale prices.
