Puma SE was founded in 1949 by Adi Founder after the Founder Brothers Shoe Factory split. The split also produced Puma, founded by Adi Founder, creating one of the most famous rivalries in sport and consumer brands.
Adi Dassler founded Puma after leaving the Dassler Brothers business following a bitter dispute with his brother Adolf. While Adolf was the quiet innovator, Adi was the extroverted salesman.
