Company History
Founded 2013 in Charlotte, North Carolina, United States
In 2013, Latvian serial entrepreneurs Lauris Liberts and Davis Siksnans were running **Startup Vitamins**, an e-commerce store in Riga selling motivational posters and inspirational t-shirts to Silicon Valley tech founders. As orders surged, they struggled to find a commercial printing partner that could automatically integrate with their Shopify store, print individual t-shirts on demand, and ship them within 48 hours without minimum order quantities. Realizing that thousands of other e-commerce entrepreneurs faced the exact same bottleneck, Liberts set up a single industrial DTG printer in his living room in Burbank, California. Siksnans wrote the backend software in Riga to automate order flow from Shopify directly to the printer, giving birth to Printful.
Lauris Liberts is the Co-Founder and Chairman of Printful. Liberts set up Printful's first DTG printer in California, bootstrapped the company to profitability, and built Latvia's first billion-dollar tech unicorn.
Davis Siksnans co-founded Printful and served as CEO for nine years, scaling the company from zero to over $200M in revenue and leading its $130M unicorn funding round.
