JioMart Express was Reliance Retail's quick-commerce grocery app. It launched in Navi Mumbai in March 2022, promised delivery in about 90 minutes from nearby Reliance stores, and was shut down in February 2023.
Why JioMart Express closed
The service never scaled far beyond Navi Mumbai. Its 90-minute promise trailed the 10-minute delivery marketed by Blinkit, Zepto and Swiggy Instamart, and quick commerce was losing money across the industry. Reliance's 25.8% Dunzo stake, bought for about $200 million in January 2022, was written off in 2025.
JioMart quick commerce in 2026
Reliance rebuilt fast delivery inside the main JioMart app. It reached about 1.6 million average daily orders by January 2026, and at the June 2026 AGM ran from more than 3,100 stores in 1,200+ cities. Daily orders grew 116% year on year in the June 2026 quarter.
