Netlify gives developers a single place to build, preview, deploy and run web projects. Connect a Git repository or an AI tool, and Netlify builds the project, serves it from its global edge network and runs server-side code as serverless or edge functions. Since 2025 the company has focused on 'Agent Experience': making the platform easy for AI coding agents such as Bolt, Claude and its own Agent Runners to deploy to directly. The company is headquartered in San Francisco, California.
Netlify makes money from subscriptions and usage on a freemium model. A free plan brings in individual developers and AI-app builders; the Pro plan costs $20 a month with unlimited seats and includes a monthly credit allowance, with extra credit packs at $10 per 1,500 credits; and Enterprise contracts add SSO, compliance, SLAs and dedicated support. Credits are spent on five meters: bandwidth, compute, web requests, AI inference and production deploys. Netlify dropped per-seat charges in April 2026, when it said about 40,000 people were signing up every day and 65% of them were new to web development.
