Ahuja leads financial discipline, operations, and capital allocation during Block's profitability push. She has served as CFO since 2019 and took on the additional title of Chief Operating Officer as Block consolidated financial and operating oversight under a single executive, a structure change that came as the company scaled back its more speculative crypto and hardware initiatives to focus on profitability in Cash App and the core Square merchant business. Before joining Square, she held finance leadership roles at Blizzard Entertainment, Fandango, and Hewlett-Packard, giving her experience across consumer technology and entertainment industries prior to overseeing Block's finances through its expansion well beyond its original merchant-payments business.
