Capgemini is one of Europe's largest IT services companies and a direct rival to Accenture and the big Indian IT firms. It helps banks, manufacturers, governments, retailers and telecom operators design strategy, build and run software, migrate to the cloud, engineer products and, increasingly, run whole back-office processes. The group operates in more than 50 countries with roughly 417,600 employees as of mid-2026, about two-thirds of them in offshore delivery centres. The company is headquartered in Paris, France.
Capgemini earns fees for people and outcomes rather than selling software licences. Clients pay through time-and-materials contracts, fixed-price projects and multi-year managed-services agreements. Strategy & Transformation (8% of 2025 revenue) covers Capgemini Invent's consulting work. Applications & Technology (63%) covers cloud, data and AI, ERP and custom software. Operations & Engineering (29%) combines Capgemini Engineering (formerly Altran), infrastructure and cloud services, and digital business process services, a line expanded by the WNS deal. Two-thirds of staff (279,200 at end-2025) work in offshore centres, mainly India, which keeps delivery costs lower than onshore billing rates.

Capgemini faces soft demand in parts of Europe, where France revenue fell 4.1% at constant currency in 2025 and manufacturing clients cut spending. Generative and agentic AI threatens to shrink traditional labour-based coding and testing work, so the group launched a 'Fit-for-Growth' workforce programme with about $791 million (€700 million) of restructuring costs expected over 2026-2027. The WNS and Cloud4C deals pushed net debt to ~$7.29 billion (€6.45 billion) at June 30, 2026, and integration has to deliver. Indian IT majors such as TCS and Infosys compete hard on price, and the share price fell sharply in 2026 amid investor worries about AI disruption to IT services.
Aiman Ezzat is the current Chief Executive Officer of Capgemini SE, assuming the role in May 2020 following a planned leadership transition approved by the Board of Directors at the annual general shareholders meeting.
