Vipul Parekh is a highly successful Indian entrepreneur and a core co-founder of BigBasket, India's largest online grocery delivery platform. Parekh belongs to the close-knit founding group that previously pioneered early Indian e-commerce with Fabmart in 1999 and the physical retail chain Fabmall. When the team reunited in 2011 to launch BigBasket, Parekh took charge of the company's financial structuring, aggressive marketing strategies, and venture capital fundraising. Under his financial leadership, BigBasket navigated intense market competition from heavily funded rivals like Grofers and Amazon, achieving unicorn status and ultimately orchestrating the massive, highly lucrative acquisition by Tata Digital in 2021.
