Hari Menon holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from BITS Pilani and an MBA from Carnegie Mellon University. His extensive professional background includes leadership roles at Wipro Infotech and Planetasia. However, it was his incredibly deep, foundational background building both digital and physical grocery supply chains with Fabmart and Fabmall that gave him the exact logistical mastery required to successfully build and scale BigBasket.

Hari Menon is a highly celebrated Indian entrepreneur and the co-founder and long-time CEO of BigBasket, India's largest online grocery platform. A veteran of the early Indian internet boom, Menon previously co-founded Fabmart in 1999, one of the country's first e-commerce portals, which later pivoted into the highly successful physical retail chain Fabmall. In 2011, leveraging a decade of deep retail and supply chain experience, Menon and his founding team launched BigBasket. Under his meticulous, highly methodical leadership, BigBasket prioritized building a massive, robust backend supply chain over unchecked expansion, surviving brutal market competition to achieve unicorn status before being successfully acquired by Tata Digital in 2021.
