Founding Story
Frank Pearce is a prominent American programmer and entrepreneur who co-founded Silicon & Synapse in 1991, the studio that eventually became Blizzard Entertainment. He started the company alongside UCLA classmates Allen Adham and Michael Morhaime, initially wearing many hats, from writing code to answering phones. Over his 28-year tenure at Blizzard, Pearce served in critical leadership roles, including Executive Vice President of Product Development and Chief Development Officer. He played a hands-on role in creating the company's most iconic franchises, including Warcraft, StarCraft, and Diablo. Most notably, he served as an executive producer on World of Warcraft, overseeing its initial launch and its first three expansions, ensuring the high standard of extreme polish that defined Blizzard's golden era before departing the company in 2019.
