Abhinay Choudhari

Abhinay Choudhari graduated with an engineering degree from BITS Pilani before earning his MBA from the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Ahmedabad in 1997. His extensive professional background includes high-level consulting roles at Mitsubishi Corporation, Infosys, and iGATE, where he specialized heavily in retail and CPG supply chains. This specialized background gave him the precise operational insight needed to optimize BigBasket's customer delivery framework.

Abhinay Choudhari is a prominent Indian retail entrepreneur best known as one of the original five co-founders of BigBasket. An early pioneer of Indian lifestyle e-commerce with his 1999 venture Stylecountry.com, Choudhari joined forces with the Fabmart founding team to launch BigBasket in 2011. During BigBasket's highly critical early scaling phase, Choudhari served as the Head of Customer Experience, obsessively focusing on the logistics and customer touchpoints required to deliver highly perishable grocery items on time. He later spearheaded the company's new initiatives and alternative revenue streams, helping solidify its absolute market dominance before exiting the company post-Tata acquisition to launch LaundryMate.
