Company History
Founded 2003 in Luxembourg City, Luxembourg (Operational: Buenos Aires, Argentina)
In 2003, during the aftermath of Argentina's severe economic crisis, four ambitious young engineers—Martín Migoya, Guibert Englebienne, Martín Umaran, and Néstor Nocetti—met at a bar in Buenos Aires. While local businesses were shuttering, the four founders realized that Argentina possessed world-class software engineering talent that was massively undervalued globally due to currency devaluation. They founded Globant in a small shared office with $5,000 in personal savings, committing to an audacious founding rule: 100% of their software revenue would come from overseas clients in the United States and the United Kingdom. In 2006, Globant scored its historic breakthrough when London-based travel giant Lastminute.com became its first major enterprise client, followed by Google selecting Globant to develop core outsourced software. By proving that Latin American engineers could deliver cutting-edge software for Silicon Valley titans, the four founders ignited a global tech powerhouse.
