Background
Leslie M. Muma possessed an incredibly deep, highly rigorous background in localized banking operations and complex financial data processing. Founding Story
Leslie M. Muma is a highly influential American technology executive and the co-founder of Fiserv, the massive, globally dominant financial services technology (fintech) corporation. Operating his own successful data processing firm, Sunshine State Systems, in Florida, Muma recognized that the rapidly expanding banking sector desperately needed massive, centralized computing networks. In 1984, he formally merged his operations with George Dalton's Wisconsin-based firm to officially launch Fiserv. Serving as President from the company's inception until 2005, and later taking the mantle of CEO, Muma was the absolute driving force behind Fiserv's incredibly aggressive acquisition strategy. He personally orchestrated over 150 massive corporate buyouts, completely transforming Fiserv from a small regional network into a multi-billion dollar global fintech powerhouse.
