Takizaki was born in 1945 in Hyogo Prefecture and graduated from Amagasaki Industrial High School. He started Lead Electric after earlier business attempts did not succeed.
Founding Story
Takemitsu Takizaki founded Keyence in 1974 in Amagasaki, Hyogo Prefecture, under the name Lead Electric, and renamed it Keyence in 1986. He built the company around direct sales to factories, outsourced production, and products designed to solve specific customer problems. He is Honorary Chairman and one of Japan's wealthiest people through his Keyence holdings. He rarely gives interviews. Takemitsu Takizaki was born in 1945.
