Dr. Peter Farrell founded ResMed in 1989 after acquiring the commercial rights to Dr. Colin Sullivan's continuous positive airway pressure prototype from Baxter Healthcare. Holding a PhD in bioengineering from the University of Washington, Farrell served as CEO from 1989 to 2013 and Executive Chairman until 2023, building ResMed into a global medtech titan.
