Dheeraj Pandey

Dheeraj Pandey co-founded Nutanix in September 2009 and served as its Chief Executive Officer and Chairman for over eleven years, guiding the company from early incubation to its celebrated NASDAQ IPO in 2016. Pandey holds a Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science from the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur and a Master of Science in Computer Science from the University of Texas at Austin, where he was a Ph.D. candidate. Before founding Nutanix, Pandey served as VP of Engineering at Aster Data Systems and was a Principal Engineer at Oracle Corporation, where he co-architected the storage and indexing engines of Oracle 9i and 10g. Under Pandey's visionary leadership, Nutanix invented hyperconverged infrastructure (HCI), disrupted the multibillion-dollar SAN/NAS storage industry, and pioneered enterprise hybrid cloud computing. Pandey stepped down as CEO in December 2020 and subsequently co-founded enterprise workflow platform DevRev.
