Brian Schimpf

Brian Schimpf graduated from Cornell University with a degree in operations research and industrial engineering. He gained critical early experience founding a team for the DARPA Urban Challenge, building an autonomous vehicle. His subsequent, extensive background at Palantir Technologies, deploying software into active combat theaters and navigating the complex realities of military procurement, provided him the precise expertise needed to build a modern defense contractor.

Brian Schimpf is the co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Anduril Industries, a defense technology company focused on autonomous systems and artificial intelligence. Prior to co-founding Anduril in 2017 with Palmer Luckey and Trae Stephens, Schimpf spent several years as a Director of Engineering at Palantir Technologies. At Palantir, he led the company's deployment of software to active war zones, working directly with military personnel to build data integration platforms that actually functioned in highly stressful, asymmetric combat environments. As CEO of Anduril, Schimpf drives the company's aggressive strategy to disrupt the slow-moving prime defense contractors by privately funding research and development and selling finished, highly capable autonomous hardware and software systems to the Pentagon.
